Units Show as Available in Inventory but Cannot Be Assigned to a Contract
Last updated: September 3, 2026
If you notice that certain units appear as available in your inventory but are not selectable when trying to assign them to a contract, there are a few common reasons this can occur.
Common Causes
Unit is already assigned to another order or contract: Even if a unit appears available in the inventory list, it may already be tied to an active or pending order elsewhere in the system.
Unit status mismatch: The unit's status in inventory may not be fully synced with its availability for contract assignment. This can happen if a previous order was not properly closed out or updated.
Unit condition or category restrictions: The contract may have specific requirements (e.g., unit type, size, or condition) that the unit does not meet, causing it to be filtered out during assignment.
Steps to Troubleshoot
Verify the unit's current status by navigating to your inventory and reviewing its order history to confirm it is not already assigned to another active contract or order.
Check that the order associated with the unit has been properly updated or closed before attempting reassignment.
Confirm that the unit type and specifications match the requirements of the contract you are trying to assign it to.
If the unit appears fully available and meets all requirements but still cannot be assigned, contact Moab Support for further assistance.
